Animals touch our hearts in the most magical ways. Some have the sweetest way to show their rescuers and adopters that they are so grateful for every kindness. Molly was one of those. Every day she showed happiness and gratitude that everyone could see.
She came to us in horrific condition. She had an elbow fracture that was never treated, causing her great pain. Molly handled her surgery and recovery like a champ - never complaining. She also had Demodex Mange with open sores all over her body, and was affected with heartworm disease as well.
From day one - even as debilitated and in pain as she was - she made sure to let everyone know she was enjoying every day of her life. She always looked as if she couldn't believe her good fortune, and was one of the happiest of dogs we have ever known.
Molly was adopted by our good friends Julie & Tim Knudsen. We knew she had won the dog lottery! She lived in the lap of luxury for over four years. Last week she lost her battle with cancer, despite having every treatment option available - including chemo and surgery. Our hearts are broken - she was so loved and cherished.
She will forever hold a place in all of our hearts. Our sincere condolences and appreciation to Julie & Tim for giving Molly the life and love she always deserved.
