We were called to rescue a very injured kitten late last nite. We have him getting the help he needed to recover from his injury.
We are catching up from time spent with him and this morning we got a call about a kitten found in the middle of the street by the convenience store that was in really bad condition. This poor little guy is covered with fleas, skin and bones and so pale. He did take some baby food from a spoon so we have hopes that he will recover his strength. The finder said he was driving and thought it was a dead squirrel in the road, but the kitten raised his head just in time to be found and saved. He has been given Nutrical and Lixitinic (nutritional supplement and iron rich vitamins) in hopes of giving him some energy and boosting his blood. We think we might call him Roadie. We hope we can bring him to health so he can have a good life with a family of his own. Thank you to the person who took the time to pull him from the road and go for help. He wouldn't have survived without that intervention.
He's really quite small. The photo makes him look much larger than he really is.
We are hopeful that the rest of the week will be calmer and that these last two kittens will make a complete recovery.
Thank you. Prayers for Roadie.
